  	(Living names removed) Phyllis C. HIGGINS: 1918 - 2003. Private family graveside services, with the Rev. Kent Harrop officiating, were held in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville, for Phyllis C. HIGGINS of McMinnville. She died at The Hamptons on Oct. 4, 2003, at the age of 85. She was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Fresno, California, the daughter of Robert and Leonora Champion BORROWDALE, who were missionaries. She spent the first 18 years of her life in India. After college and her marriage to Ivan HIGGINS on Oct. 30, 1947, in Hyattsville, Maryland, she started a mission service in India and Burma with her four children. She returned to the United States in 1954, moved to Australia in 1957, back to India in 1967, then to Canada. She retired to the Napa Valley in California in the late 1970s. Throughout her career she taught high school, served as a preceptress of women and worked as an administrative secretary. She and her husband moved to McMinnville in 1990 to be near their children. Mrs. HIGGINS was preceded in death by her husband in 1997 and by a daughter, Ivy OLSON. Her family said she will be remembered and revered as a loving, cheerful and industrious woman, who led a life of adventure and is now resting beside her husband in Evergreen Memorial Park.
