HUNTER, father; working as a commercial traveller, not married. He was described at 27 years of age, 5 ft. 10 ins, fair complexion, grey eyes and brown hair. His religious affiliation was that of a Presbyterian. He was considered fit for the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force on 28 March 1916 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Brampton Gunner Has Died of Wounds
Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. HUNTER of Mount Pleasant Makes a Sacrifice
Brampton, Sept 27 - The news came as a shock to the people of Brampton that Gunner "Bob" HUNTER, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. HUNTER, of Mount Pleasant, near Brampton, has made the supreme sacrifice. His is reported as dying of wouunds at No. 23 Casualty Clearing Hospital, France. No report had been received that he was wounded, so that his death must have followed the gunshot wounds in the back and legs. Gunner HUNTER was born near Brampton, received his education at the High school, moved to the West several years ago, and enlisted in an artillery unit in Edmonton about two years ago. After training at Valcartier he went overseas, and had seen all the hard fighting. He was 28 years of age and unmarried. Mrs. HUNTER, his mother, is a prominent worker and lecturer in the Women's Institutes of Ontario, while his father is one of the most prominent farmers of the county.

- At Ingersoll, a memorial tablet was unveiled in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery, in honour of Lieut. Alfred J. NORSWORTHY, and another to the two cousins of this family who also fell in the War - Robert Godfrey HUNTER and Harold Gilray HUNTER. The occasion was one of more than local interest with many distinguished officers present from Montreal.

They fought the good fight, read the history of your country and understand.
