- Woman Struck, Killed As She Crossed Road: Bristol: A 71 year old woman killed in a car-pedestrian accident Wednesday morning in Bristol, near Morell, has been identified as Constance BROOKS. That accident occurred about 9:30 am as Mrs. BROOKS was crossing the highway to pick up her mail, an RCMP spokesman said. An autopsy has been held, but further details are unavailable. That accident is still under investigation. RCMP Wednesday also identified a 71 year old Kensington man killed in a single vehicle accident Tuesday night as Dr. Lech K. Zielinski. Dr. Zielinski was the sole occupant of a vehicle which left the road on Highway 6 at Stanley Bridge. The Brooks' death brings to eight the number of highway fatalities in the province in the past 13 days. (Newspaper)

Notes |
- (Medical):She reportedly had gone out to pick up the mail from the box along the road, and a driver came up over the hill and hit her; the driver was a tourist from out of the province. Connie was a severe diabetic, sometimes uncontrolled, and it is possible that this factor played into this event.
