  	Mary Ann NORSWORTHY died, age 88 yrs., 2 mos., 1 day, in hospital, residing on Sophia St., Hanover, on 9 June 1928. She was a housewife and a widow. Born England on 8 April 1840; daughter of John SPRY and Mary SYMONS, both born England. Informant was her daughter, Semeatha DEVLIN from Hanover, Ontario. Buried Hanover Cemetery on 12 June 1928. Death attributed to influenza and pleurisy (6 days), and old age.
  Notes	Mary Ann was the daughter of John SPRY and Mary SYMONS, both born England, who were living in Bentinck Twp. in the 1861 census. Both parents died in 1881 and were buried at Crispin Cemetery, Hanover, Ontario. Mary Ann had a son born to her around July 1860. "Lankford SPRY, son of Mary Ann, died 10 March 1862, aged 1 yr., 8 mos"; he was buried at Saint George's Cemetery, Bentinck. (Memorial inscription) He appeared with Samuel and Mary Ann NORSWORTHY in their home in the 1861 census as Langford SPRY, age 1. [2, 7, 8, 9]
