BEST - MILLER AT PLYMOUTH
A pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Jude's Church, Plymouth, yesterday, Rev. J. W. Sturdy, B.A., vicar of [ ? ] officiating, between Mr. Cyril W. BEST (elder son of Mr. W. BEST, Woodville, Mannamead) and Miss Dorothy MILLER, daughter of Mr. H. MILLER, a member of Plymouth Board of Guardians). The bride was dressed in ivory crepe-de-chene trimmed with pearls, and a veil trimmed with white heather and orange blossom. She was given away by her father, and was attended by two bridesmaids, her sister, Miss P. MILLER, and Miss M. BEST, cousin of the bridegroom, who were attired in dresses of powder blue crepe-de-soie, and carried shower bouquets. Mr. Beedell? was best man, and Mr. T. W. Lugar officiated at the organ. The honeymoon is being spent in London, the bride travelling in a grey costume and a brick velvet hat. The presents included a timepiece from the staff of Lloyds Bank, Totnes, a silver cake basket from the members of the Eliot Lodge, Good Templars, and a trinket set from the Railway Safeguard Lodge, Good Templars. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridemaids dress rings. The present of the bride to the bridegroom was a silver cigarette case.
