Notes |
- The search for Frances BROWN's parents has met with limited success. The IGI reports three possibilities:
Fanny, baptized 31 August 1794, in the Parish of Sinnington to Sylvester and Mary BROWN. Other children's names in this family were John and Miliah. Sinnington is the parish from which Frances was "from" at her marriage to John BROOKS, but this does not necessarily mean she was born or baptised there, only had been living there. Based on naming patterns, given the father's name of Sylvester, this would appear to be the most unlikely possibility.
Frances, baptized 23 September 1792 in St. Leonard, New Malton, to John and Frances BROWN. Other children's names were Joseph, John, and James. This family is perhaps the most likely one based only on the names of family members.
Frances, baptized 23 September 1792, in St. Leonard, New Malton, to Francis and Ann BROWN. Other children's names were Mary, George, and Charles. [5]
