- Mrs Joseph BROOKS: Mrs. BROOKS was the daughter of the late Wm. DERBY of White Sands, P.E.I. and was born on 14 December 1835 and died 18 March 1918, having gone over four score and 12 years. Marriage was contracted with Mr. BROOKS in 1860 and a family of two sons and one daughter blessed this union. The sons are Ralph, holding a splendid position in Chicago, and Charles at home, White Sands. The daughter is Mrs. Wm. HORTON of Annapolis Valley, N.S. These, with an aged husband, survive to cherish the memory of a fine Christian woman. She was for many years an active and valued member of White Sands, Methodist church and Sunday School. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. E.S. Weeks, and interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery, Murray Harbour.
