    Cause: Pneumonia 
    • The death of Mrs. William HORTON formerly of Murray Harbour, took place on the 22nd of November at her home in Bridgetown, N.S. The late Mrs. HORTON was born at White Sands, P.E.I., 71 years ago and with her husband and family lived in Nova Scotia, for many years past. Her remains were brought to Murray Harbour United Church, accompanied by her son, and the funeral was held the next afternoon, with Rec. T. R. Goudge officiating. The funeral was very largely attended and interment was in the Murray Harbour cemetery. Mrs Horton is survived by her husband, in Bridgetown, and by two brothers, Ralph G. BROOKS, in Chicago, and Charles Y. BROOKS of White Sands, also by three daughters, Mrs. W. H. STOBBS of Hill Crest, Alta., and Caroline and Grace in Boston, also by one son, Ralph of Bridgetown. There are also nine grandchildren. The friends of the late Mrs. Horton were very pleased to see her here during the past summer on a visit, and much grieved by her sudden passing from pneumonia. For the husband and other relatives, much sympathy is felt.(Stobbs)

Born 22 August 1862 on Prince Edward Island, daughter of Joseph BROOKS and Caroline DERBY, both born P.E.I. She had been living at this residence and in this province for 22 years; married, housewife. Informant was her husband, William HORTON of R.R. 4 Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Cause of death was bronchial pneumonia. Burial on Prince Edward Island on 29 November 1933. (Death registration)
