- William Joseph NOSWORTHY, age 72, died 30 September 1923 at Torbay Hospital, Torquay; residing at 10 Addison Villas, Newbridge Road West, Bath. Retired Confectioner. Lilian SPACKMAN, daughter, present at the death, of 156 Birchfield Road, Northampton. Cause of death attributed to cancer of prostate and uremia; he had surgery on 21 September 1923.

- FUNERAL OF MR. W. J. NOSWORTHY
The funeral of Mr. W. J. NOSWORTHY, aged 72, who died at Torquay, where he was spending a holiday, on Sunday, took place on Thursday afternoon at Locksbrook Cemetery, where Mrs. NOSWORTHY was buried in 1915. The Rev. Pryce Davies, Vicar of Englishcombe, and formerly Vicar of Ascension, Oldfield Park, where deceased and his family attended, officiated by the special desire of deceased. Mr. Davies having conducted the funeral service of Mrs. NOSWORTHY. The chief mourners were Mrs. SPACKMAN, Mrs. A. E. TURNER, Miss Madeline NOSWORTHY (daughters), Mr. A. E. TANNER (son in law), Mr. S. T. TANNER, Mr. H. BREWIN, Master Ronald TANNER, and Mr. and Mrs. SPACKMAN (Bristol). There were floral tributes from Lillie, Kathleen, Madeline, Herbert and Arthur (daughters and sons in law), Emily, (sister), Frank, Lizzie, and Flo, of Black Torrington (cousins), Fred, Di., and Jenny SPACKMAN, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. TANNER, Ronald and Ilene (grandchildren), Mrs. A. E. REEVES, Miss MALLINSON, Mr. and Mrs. MATTHEWS and Flo, Mr. and Mrs. E. SAINSBURY. The late Mr. John Beszant had made the funeral arrangements, but died suddenly at Torquay, whither he had gone to bring back the remains of Mr. NOSWORTHY. In these circumstances, Mr. W. A. Sully, of Newark Street, saw the arrangements through.
