    Notes
    • From the 1909 biography: " Elizabeth, about two years after arrival in Canada, married the Rev. J. H. WATTS, a Methodist minister, who spent his life in the ministry in various charges, principally in the counties of Huron, Grey, Bruce, and Northumberland, and is at the time of this writing, living retired at the town of Walkerton, Ontario. They had a large family of children, mostly girls, who are all married but one".

Stanley NORSWORTHY wrote, "Elizabeth married at 16 to Henry WATTS, an itinerant minister who was about 25 years older. She had what might be described as a full life, as they had, I think, ten children, of whom nine survived and died at the age of 95 after being a widow for about 50 years. She was the grandmother of Ella HALL with whom Nellie lived for so many years. Aunt Elizabeth passed her declining years in northern Ontario, near Wiarton. At one time grandmother Norsworthy lived with her, also Aunt Avis who never married. I remember Father taking me there as a boy." [Ella HALL was the daughter of Henrietta May NORSWORTHY who married John DICKSON. Ella married George HALL. "Nellie" refers to Helen Alice, the daughter of James Caunter NORSWORTHY.] [7, 8]
